Default Blue Devil Gasket Sealant - Anyone have any success with it?

I may have a head gasket issue and I have read about a pour in chemical gasket repair called Blue Devil. It get good reviews on amazon but I don't really trust those. Has anyone tried it and what were your results? Thanks

Blue Devil is an extremely overpriced quick fix that doesn't work worth a damn.

For the price of a bottle of that stuff you could buy an entire head gasket set and still have some money to put towards having the head reworked.

I just replaced the head gasket in mine and had the head rebuilt for a total of 130 bucks.

Do it right the first time and you'll be good to go.

I concur with lowrange2.

There is no magic 'mechanic in a can' fix. If it will stop a leak or crack in a head, what else might is clog or stop up. Besides, if things like that worked, mechanics would be out of business!

If you want it fixed, just do it right the first time so you know it's done.

i agree that u should do the work not walk around it but i have used it on a 5.9l WJ and it worked great but thats because i didnt have time ore money to do the job years ago.
a mechanic recommended it to me and even gave me the bottle ( little over 3/4 full)
and thats why i even used it.
