I take it you're talking about the blower not working.

What about the defrost issue?

 

Have yet to trace the defrost issue but the selector works now

 

Now that your blower is working again, here's a simple test to see if black tube vacuum source is getting to the Mode Selector.

Refer to the vacuum Mode Selector vacuum functional schematic in post #13, above.

With the blower operating, select position 7 (schematic) and listen to the airflow. Then select position 11 (A/C Recirculation) and listen to the airflow. If the Mode Selector is receiving vacuum it will open the Recirculation door and bring in cabin air. There will be a distinct change in the noise you hear as the blower inlet air is being taken from the cabin. If there is no change, there's a chance no vacuum is getting to the Mode Selector. But if you can't hear the change the only true way of knowing if the Recirc Air door actuator is working is to remove the kick panel (like you did to change the resistor) and observe the action of the Recirc Air door actuator.
