Blower motor fan switch override?
The blower motor for the A/C-heat on my '87 isn't working. I'm not sure if it's the blower motor itself or just the switch. How do I tell if it's the blower motor or not? I have heard of guys overriding the switch with a toggle switch. Is this hard to do? If it is determined that it's the motor itself, I think I might just get fan (like the ones off a school bus) to mount on the dash. I'd make it so I can either have it blowing on me (summer months), or on the windshield (defroster months).
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

Temporarily wire the blower motor directly to the battery. If it runs, its the switch or the fuse.
If it doesn't run, its the motor. Just replace the motor, its not that hard or expensive.

Ok, thanks guys!
Where is the blower motor located? Do I need to run seperate wires from it to the battery, or just disconnect them from the switch and run them to the battery?
I hope it's just a fuse.
