1996 Cherokee Sport. My AC/Heat blower is not working. I replaced the motor, Checked the resistor and fuse. What next? I'd really like to have AC and Heat again, its been about a year.

The Blower is not coming on at all. do I have to take the whold dash apart to check the switch or is there a way to just jump one in at the resistor?

Sorry, I've been on the road working. I pulled my dash face off and replaced the blower switch (the old one was fried) but my blower still doesn't work. What else is there?
You need to check the wiring harness and wires leading to the switch. I have a 96 classic and most of my wiring connectors are falling a part. They are the brown plastic ones. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this also.
Well to add onto my last post. I had to replace my blower motor today and now it will not work either. I checked the fuse which is fine but where is the relay located on a 96 XJ? I am going to pull my climate control pannel later to make sure it didnt melt again.

jeffamsi..........please do a search for MY post "A/C issues...verification please"
I have a write up there and pictures........
mine was IDENTICAL symptom.
YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE instrument panel facia off to get to climate control system (pretty easy to take this off).
YOU WILL have to take the securing screws out that hold the climate control switch assy in place......
check the furthest back phenolic connector which has one of the MAIN feed wires to your blower speed switch and resistor pack and selector switch (mine was dark Green)
use a meter and measure resistance from fuse panel blower fuse, up to the blower speed switch ( i did this with batterry disconnected, safety ya know!)
if you have an open from battery to the switch, one of those connections has opened up due to heat (again, refer to my post i mentioned adn you with see)..
good luck sir!

I replaced my control switch, ( which was fried), but still no help. Its getting chilly and foggy here. Can I bypass the control panel and just mount a switch under the dash so that I'll have heat. I went without last year and it was a pain when it snowed without defrost heat.
