Default Blinkers stopped working!! i cant figure it out!

I have 2000 classic with 130,000 miles on it. a few days ago the blinkers just stop working. i thought maybe it was a fuse or the bulbs were bad but the bulbs are fine. when i turn the blinkers on nothing happens on the dash or the car. Could it be intermitten problem? im open to any ideas.

Turn signals, not blinkers, they're called turn signals. End of rant. Check the connection at the fuse, it is possible that you have a bad connection at the terminal. Check the flasher by replacing with a known good (new) flasher. If all of that checks out, it very well could be the turn signal switch.

remove the kick panel under the steering column and the metal sheet behind that, in the upper left hand corner i believe there is a cube shaped regulator there. thats most likely your problem, cheap and easy fix

You forgot to fill your blinker fluid.... LOL

Its probably your multifunction switch in your steering column, mine did the same thing.

Default lights out

This has happened to every jeep that i have owned. More then likely it is your turn signal assembly. They are pretty easy to replace other then taking apart the column to do so.

Ok, so i have a 91 XJ, and i replaced the Turn Signal Switch, yet things still do not work properly.

When I use my turn signal either left or right, my cig lighter outlet flashes power (have a Sirius Radio pluged in there). Also, both arrows and the bright light indicator in the dash are lit up when power is turned on in the jeep. HOwever, when I turn the signal on either left or right, it lights up brighter in the dash and turns on and stays on outside....then after a very long time will bling once...then stay on solid for long time again....then blink once as if was a VERY slow blinker relay. Here's the next kicker to my gremlin, my head lights will not work AT ALL!! When I turn them on, the dash lights come on and the turn signal & bright light indicators brighten inside, yet nothing happens outside.

Is there some sort of computer issue here? Or maybe even a small processor under the dash? I ask this because if I manually operate the turn signal (not clicking it all the way) I hear a click under the dash just above my right knee. I've never heard this before or never paid any attention because everything worked accordingly until Monday of this past week.

Somebody give me some help please.

You have a bad ground someplace in the system.

Most light problems i run into on people cherokees stem from trailer wiring either being bad or pinched or coubled.
