HELP

We have 2 jeeps.

My son's jeep's blinkers sometimes do not work. Why?

Moved to the proper section.

Check the bulbs and sockets.

check the plug beneath the air box mine was coroded and caused the blinkers to work sometimes then just stop working randomly cleaned it up with elctrical connector cleaner then dielectric grease no more problems

I had the same problem on my 96, night lights, 4 way hazzard worked OK, but turn signals would not. Checked bulbs and fuses and they were good. Found the wire harness connection below the Air Filter box had broken wires. This is common on late model jeeps. I took the connector apart and two of the terminals just broke off and no way to replace the connector. Thought I was going to need a new wiring harness for all the lights across the front of the jeep. Checked with the mechanics I know at the local jeep dealer and they told me to cut the wires and solder them together and bypass the connector, that's what they do. There should be just enough wire to bypass the connector. Just match the colored wires. You can test the wires with a probe to make sure which one is for the right and left blinker. I fixed only the broken wires and left the connector operational for all the other lights. When I get time and a nice warm day, I will fix the rest of the wires and get rid of the connector.

Your problem could also be the clock spring. It mounts to the steering column under the steering wheel. This is the part that allows the steering wheel electrics, including the airbag, to function properly while the steering wheel is being turned. If you have tried everything else, this will most likely be the problem. Dealership price is around $215.00, but I got mine on EBay for $66.35. I hope this helps you!
