Kid, what in God's name are you talking about? Where in the hell is the intake valve gasket?

Black smoke means a rich fuel trim, not an oil leak.....Which points directly at the O2 sensor, or a leaking fuel injector, (or multiple, as 1 inj leaking wouldn't cause as bad of problems are you're talking about.)

And what does the transfer case fluid have to do with anything? A jerking would indicate the engine cutting out. Which could correlate to clogged injectors, bad wires/plugs, low combustion chamber pressures due to broken/burnt/blown rings, blown head gasket, cracked valve, etc, etc.

Go back to school dude. Did you go to UTI?

I'm one for forgiveness too, as I started at the bottom, went to Wyotech, and learned my stuff.

But I saw intake valve gasket, and damn near **** a brick.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same symptoms, have replaced both o2 sensors and replaced the MAP sensor. what else could it be?
