Question Black or Chrome...

Hey guys! Got a 2001 XJ pretty much bonestock on the outside (no lift). I want to get rid of the POS OEM jeep rims with chrome hub caps and either go with a legit chrome rim (crager) or go with a black rim (also crager). Opinions? Oh and tire size, gonna keep the same for now.

I say chrome. I like black rims, but never on a stock vehicle.

That's kinda my feeling because down here in So. Flo, all we got is lifted jeeps with black rims. And besides, I like the hub caps chrome but I I want real rims, not POS's

That's what my jeep looked like yesterday. Today I bought OEM Jeep wheels on craigslist for $200. Really good deal

I would tend to agree with that with one exception - black rims look good on a black XJ even when stock.

x2....You can beat spending $60 a wheel for black compared to over $100 a wheel for chrome.

Doesn't have to be chrome, even a brushed metal look. My dad says if I get away from chrome/brushed metal, he thinks I'll ruin a good jeep. I'm kinda on the fence. Either way, I'm getting new rims.

I'm with you on this. I just don't care much for black on a stock 4x4 anything. Where are you going to get the rims? If locally then maybe the shop can mount up a set set of each so you can make a better decision.
