Default Bilstein or Rancho shocks?

For a stock hight XJ. About 25% off road. I keep hearing good about booth so which is best? When I do off road, it's mixed of fast and slow. Thanks.

You will probably get a lot of different opinions about this subject.

I have always had good luck with Rancho shocks. I have used the adjustable RS 9000's on several trucks and Jeeps and they seem to work really well. One reason I like the RS 9000's is because they give you the ability to tune your suspension to some degree.

Right now I run the Edelbrock Extreme Travel shocks on my 3" lifted XJ and my V10 Dodge 4X4, and even though they are not adjustable they are awsome shocks IMO.

I had Rancho RS5000 on my Toyota and RS9000 on my TJ. Now my XJ has a set of Bilsteins that were on it when I bought it.

Both manufacturers are good quality and will serve you well. Rancho is a USA company and Bilstein is a German company. Choice is yours.

Man, I was torn between both, but knowing that Bilstein isn't American, I'm now sold on USA made Ranchos. Thanks for the 411. I'm buying Ranshos now.
