Heard about a Warn front bumper at the pick and pull, but it was already pulled when I got there. Scored some brand new 265/75/R15s. Got them mounted and balanced, but now I've got a shimmy/vibration at 35 (annoying, but not that bad) and at about 65-75 (which seems pretty bad, where I don't want to drive it at that speed.)
Nothing else changed, just tire size. Went from 235/75s to these. I'm assuming driveline angles and everything stayed the same.
Also just to note, no vibes before. A little at 55 veering left, got the death wobble once or twice hitting a bump like that, but no sustained vibration like this.
Should I check anything out before i head back to the tire shop to make sure they're all balanced right?

used tires? if so, they could be to blame. i had some worn out goodyear wrangler SR-A's (highway radial) and they were the source of all my vibes. got the new treads on and it all cleared up! the other thought is the mount and balance, but that sounds like its ok. next time you have the tires off the ground check to see if there is any play either top to bottom, or side to side. if there is play, clunking, poping or whatever then get it checked. new ball joints are cheaper than your tire falling off...
****, didnt see that first line explaining that the tires are indeed new... well, idk then... is it driveline play at all? like in the TC or axels, or drive shaft?

if nothing else changed i would suspect a bad tire/ out of balance. maybe try rotating the front 2 to the back and go for a test drive and see what happens

Well, they're "used" tires, but other than that they've been sitting outside for a while, they're new. Almost no wear; they're seriously almost new.
I have a set of 31x10.50x15 GoodYears brand new never used still has the little nubs, and when they were put on my XJ one is thumping. Couldn't find out which one it was. No shake or shimmy, But I had to take them off. They were also laying around for a while..

Could have been a crappy balance job, not every guy that humps tires for a living takes pride in doing a good job.

Yeah, gonna run back by the shop tomorrow, let them have a look at it.
Just mostly making sure there wasn't something I was missing before I blamed it on them, haha.
