Default Big 7 Cable DIY - Question about alternator

Hello there, I'm currently battling with a crank no start no spark situation and I'm considering it's an electrical issue. I had put in the oil filter and this weekend I noticed a lot of the ground cables on the engine are frayed and broken leaving exposed wires. It's possible I pushed too hard and messed up one of these cables even further.

I'm also waiting for a new CPS from NAPA since the one I got at O'Reilly read correct resistance but voltage was 0.0v on crank.

Anyway, I've watched multiple videos on YouTube and my biggest question is what to do with the alternator when making my own cables? Do I need to take into account the amp output? If so, how?

I'm planning on using marine grade 2 awg for both positive and ground cables and picking up the lugs at harbor freight.

Any tips will be helpful, thank you!

Match alternator wire size to alternator fuse, not output. 2 AWG is fine. Must have a fuse at battery end or it's a fire risk.
Bad engine grounds cause zero volt CPS reading. Fix frayed straps first.
Hammer crimp HF lugs then solder.

Thank you! So 2 awg cables all around. For fuse on cable end, I saw the 200A on Amazon. Are those good to use? Currently there's a 25A fuse installed.
