Default Better Flow for my 01

I'm still a new jeep owner , but my mind is going crazy with ideas. My next improvement is going to be air flow and exhaust. I need some advice, i want to do cold air intake and exhaust at the same time but don't know any familiar brand to go with either i'm used to the muscle car sounds and V8's. I was wondering if anyone can help make my decision any easier?

Default

K&N drop in filter, magnaflow cat flowmaster and you should be set. only replace your headers if they are cracked.

CAI=BS

Especially in a jeep that runs at 210*F, No matter where you put that tube its getting warm air.

bored throttle body is by far the best improvement to your intake you can make.

however, you engine is a big air pump, so you will not notice your bored throttle body with out a freer flowing exhaust....

2.5" is a good size all the way thru, some recommend 2.5" up to the tail pipe which some say that running a 2.25" tail pipe makes sure there is no drone whatso ever...

Alright so the CAI is total BS, i kinda doubted it because of the temp that the jeep ran at. Would there be anything to lower that running temo or is that just going to stay at a constant 210? Which bored throttle body should i look into for my 01? ANd wouldnt that cause my gas mileage to suck?

bored throttle body:

http://www.strokedjeep.com/tbody.html

and no it will not you will gain about 1mpg average back but every jeep varies

i did mine on a metal lathe and bored it out to 62mm. so for me it was free to do, altho most people dont have access to shop tools. A machine shop down here charges $40 to bore them out.

No, the jeep operates at 100% efficiency at 212*F.

Thank you for the website, i will probably order one soon, pending i get the right exhaust too. Thanks for the insight on the temp of my jeep too, its still mind boggling. Any of you guys know of a good exhaust system for an 01, that wouldn't sound like a rice burner or a wanna be V8? You've told me that 2.5" would be good all the way thru.

2.5 and a 2.25 tail pipe, sounds better and wont be raspy.
