Default Which is the best wheels offsets?

Hi guys,

I have 1 quick questions, I'm looking @ 15" wheels for my upcoming cherokee.
So which offsets is the best with 33" tire and Bushwacker Cut-Out Fender Flares for a good fitment?

Can you guys guess what's the offsets of the wheels? It is stated in his page
6 inch Skyjacker RR lift, 33inch Baja Claws without the wheels details.

Thanks
Nacci

My guess is 3.5-4"s, that's what most of the wheels in that style are that I've seen.

those look like 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing. so that would make it .25 offset.

Thanks for the info, but what's backspacing? is it a spacer (Horizontally?) so it is +25 offset?

Backspacing is the distance between the wheel mounting surface and the rear edge of the rim. To measure it, you lay the wheel face down, put a straight-edge across the rear flange of the wheel, and measure down to where the wheel meets the drum or rotor. Adding a spacer will reduce your backspacing. Read more about it here.

Note: I am in no way associated with the above mentioned company. They just have a good explanation.

offset means nothing much to us. it's just a number that comes from a calculation of backspacing.

we are more interested in back spacing.

those wheels look like 4-4.25, if they're 8 inch, then there will be 0-.25 positive offset.

i dont think anybody can look at a picture of a wheel and tell you the backspacing. 4inches of backspacing will for 33's and 4,5 lift ( my friend runs this combo with no issues). Putting in spacers will give you even more backspacing but keep in mind you are adding more stress to the hub by moving the wheel center farther out. Any competant wheel and tire guy can tell you what wheels have what. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info..

Im still new with JEEP, i just gotten my jeep 2 days ago...Sold off my benz 230CE for it..

Still in the midst of understanding the backspacing where i normally looking for a good offset preferably negative offset with bigger JJ for styling purposes for my benz

The seller is selling the wheels and didn't indicate any specs of the wheels, cuz i wanna use 33" tires for the wheel that i posted. I'm afraid that if is 7JJ and using 33" tire might create imbalance on the tires.

Thanks again...

JJ = the width of the wheels. for an example 7JJ or 8JJ or 12JJ, the bigger the number, the wider is the rim.

JJ has nothing to do with the width, it's the contour of the bead seats. Most wheels are JJ, but a few are not. IMHO, ignore it and worry about the correct width and backspace..
