They don't.

It's still a straight line from bolt-to-bolt ...regardless of how many cuts, bends, or curves you put in it.

just what ive experienced with mine but i could be wrong no worries there. i do know they help with taking away the hitting of the shackle box.

Boomerang Shackles (shaped to help clear the rear shackle housing on a Cherokee and add travel) to fit Jeep Cherokee rear Leaf Springs. Yields approx. 2" lift at rear of vehicle, and adds suspension travel via longer shackles. Beefy 1/4" Plate Fabricated Design.

ok im wrong. first time this year. -rolls eyes-

hhmm... them brackets look easy enough to make out of a small chunk of channel... whats a good shackle angle? like 45*?

I've been reading much on the subject and I believe the main purpose of the boomerangs is to help clear the shackle box and that's about it right? And it would have to be on x" of lift +? Like, I duno, 4.5"+?

I guess I should ck my shackle to see if it would hit when stuffed. I can see how the brackets change the angle though, and that will improve the articulation. I'm sure they look easier to build then they really are. I'll order mine. Seth, let's both order them and see if we get a discount. Imagine the flex you'll get w/these plus the booms. It will be like having coils back there.

ditch the rear sway right away. i personally have Disco's for the front sway. as it drives alot more stable with it hooked up, but on the other hand i have done 75 around a 40mph corner with it disco'd..

You can do this to improve your shackle angle without moving the box. I love it.
