Or have you tried a search? I am willing to bet you could find 30 threads like this.

However now that I am over it. Try this link. It sounds like you are willing to make your own lift and this is a helpful page. You might like it, I found it on here about a year ago and kept it handy

First off, my goal is to maintain the drivability of my Cherokee on asphalt and improve my Jeep's performance off road on a limited budget.

I have a 2" Skyjacker budget lift and wanted to increase ground clearance, but use an all-terrain tire for better traction and maintain drivability on the road with my stock wheels. My 31x10.50 BFG All Terrain T/A KOs may seem to be a poor compromise to more intense offroaders.

The only problem I encountered was some slight LCA rubbing on hard turns. I could have chosen to spend another $150 to $300 on steel wheels with a different offset, but again, I have a limited budget. So I decided to spend a couple of bucks to replace my steering knuckle stops with adjustable hardened bolts and lock nuts. Some may call my decision a "band-aid," but I'm pleased with giving up a little in turning radius and putting the savings into a JCR Off Road transfer case skid plate and the rest toward a set of AJ Off Road Armor's super rails that are currently being fabricated.

I like the mildly raised, large-tire look of my Jeep (with standard flares and no trimming). And I'm glad that I didn't traverse the slippery slope of a greater lift and new wheels that could lead to other costly modifications to fix the vibration and fender rubbing situations that those items may cause to occur.Name: P1020127.jpg

to O.P.
with a 91 you should be able to run 31's without trimming.
from 97 on the fender openings got smaller... these are the rigs that need to trim some to run 31's.

If that guy ever disconnects his sway bars and goes 'wheeling, he will have issues with rubbing those 31's.

If the turning radius is as improtant as you indicate, why are you running tires that stick way past the body (making the rig wider) and a mechanical locker.
I can guarentee, my rig with the stops adjusted will turn tighter than any rig with a mechanical locker.

Well, there goes the every Jeep is different deal again.
With 31's I had to do minor triming the the lower trailing edge for the front fenders, and at the lower leading edge of the rear fenders.
