Okay, so I had a bit of a rough day today with my little 2.5, and it was all because of a ****ty cork-rubber gasket. That sucker wouldn’t fit worth a damn, but regardless I still put it all back together. Wasn’t leaking until it was fully warm, and by the time I closed the hood, I saw smoke. Opened it back up, and it was PUKING oil everywhere.
So, after looking and looking, I found a gasket that wasn’t listed for my Jeep, and as a matter of fact, it says it fits 2.5 AMC’s, but would say it “doesn’t fit” my Jeep. This gasket’s part number is vs50502r, and it’s a PERFECT fit. You don’t have to worry about getting it to line up, because it just sits where the valve cover guides are, and it doesn’t leak what so ever. That stupid little cork gasket melted by the time I took it off again, so that’s 10 bucks down the drain.
It’s worth the 35.99 bucks
