Default Best upgrade for $200!

i have exactly 200 bucks, and i want to know which could be the upgrade that gives me more hp for the money. thanks for helping

if you want to give additional info about your experiences with modifications, that would be great.

well with 200 you could make a cold air intake yourself then buy a throttle body spacer.......ikd what else

I dont think you will get much gain from a TB spacer.

For $200 I would say maybe an exhaust system. Probably wouldnt be able to buy a kit, but buy a free flow muffler sperately and some pipe and do the work yourself to save some $$.

yeah i mean he cant do much with 200, i got my magnaflow muffler with dual pipes and tips for $250 installed so he is kinda limited on wat he can do right now

yeah it gave me a good power boost, i also have a KnN cold air intake whick works great, it all just takes time and money......

um ide have to say exhaust i like mine alot! but the KnN is up there too i think they work good together but i would go for the exhaust first and you can probly get one for cheaper cause i got mine custome made

X2... skip the TB spacer and find a good shop and get your TB bored.

I would imagine any reputable machine shop could do it. If not hit up ebay they have plenty of 62mm (or 63mm i can't remember the exact size where it meets the manifold) available. I'm pretty sure the top opening, and the opening on the intake are 62 or 63mm,but at the flap and bottom of the stock TB it's down to 55mm I think. Also on a side note I don't know if your 99 has square runner restrictive style intake or the curved runner intake. If it's the square one find a curved one outta a newer XJ. They are usually good for 10-15 horse from what I hear. You may need to modify the alternator bracket slightly as well from what I hear. Best of luck
