i ordered mine off rocky road's website http://www.rocky-road.com/xjbudget.html
i bought the shocks from someone on here actually. You can find JK rubicon takeoffs easily on ebay and craigslist. Heres all you have to do to them as well http://fitchva.com/jeep/?p=50
You can find other writes ups all over the web as well. Very easy to do.
an example of the shocks http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-WRANGLE...#ht_500wt_1204
I got mine for 50 bucks, less than 500 miles on them.
Also got my U-bolts at auto zone. You can get block kits from autozone/oreillys/advance anywhere really and just use the u bolts from them, and chunk the aluminum blocks that come with them.

But like I said before you can get these
Attachment 76511
For about 35 bucks
I just put them on my xj and got 2.25 of lift and look at the rear flex it gave me
Attachment 76512
Attachment 76513
Rides like a champ!!
And then some 2 inch spacer up front leaves you with tons of money to blow on some real nice shocks

I just put on the RC 3" Series II. I think it ended up being $350 shipped. So far im happy with it. I also bough new u-bolts and made a 1" tc drop out of some box steel. So probably ended up around $400 for the lift. Im happy with it so far. New LCA's are a big plus to the lift. Just another option for you.

The problem is that you will never get an agreement on what you should do - because everyone has different experiences with what they have or had used.
It does not pay to go cheap, but then again sometime you just don't have a choice.... I UNDERSTAND THIS.
When I was looking at CHEAP WINCHES I asked a client of mine that I designed their off road supply website which one to get.... He said almost all of them except Warn and one other (both not in my budget) are made in China - but he said Rough Country stands behind their junk and he was right.... I had a problem with my winch but they sent a new winch out with out any hassles.
With that said, I would either go ultra cheap (coil spacer and shackles) or at least spend enough to get New Springs Front and Rear, Shocks, and Lower Control Arms up front.
PS: I went cheap on my last lift and had fun with it, but regretted not spending more money for something better, this time I will spend the extra money for something better.... but as always there are compromises unless you have an unlimited budget - and even then you usually still have compromises.
Good Luck,
Bryan

I ordered a 2" aal and spacer kit from fatbobsgarage on ebay and got it for $70 shipped to my door honestly if your looking for a cheap lift to start out with that would be the best choice. You can get the spacer and shackle kit for around the same price too. I sold my kit cuz I plan on getting the full 3" kit from zone offroad with new leaf packs, lift springs and shocks. Go to the vendor section and allen can get you a discount on zone offroad products. With his discount I think its like 20 buckse cheaper than everywhere else I seen and thats with upgraded nitro shocks. Of course you can go with the hydro shocks and get it for cheaper. In my opinion id go with a full suspension kit the first time and save yourself time and money down the road but in the end its your call. Heres the link to his vendors thread pm him and ask about the 3" kit with leaf packs and he'll reply with prices on every option of lift. Hope this helps ya bud.
