Some will knock it, but you could do a lot worse for the money. The AAL isn't my favorite but you can still use those coils and shocks even if the leaves sag at some point down the road. I've got a friend who bought the exact same lift and it rode a lot better than I expected it to.Originally Posted by W00GYB00GY
Thanks for the input everyone, I think I'm going to go with this kit...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Cheroke...#ht_2239wt_952

If you're going to go with that, you may want to PM Grimus99xj (or call RC and ask for Jason, I think). He can get you a 10% discount which will probably be the same price you'll be getting from eBay including shipping and you'll be sure to work with RC if you have any problems. Let us know how it turns out!

i would at least spend a bit more money for a kit that comes w/lower control arms.
and i agree w/AAL. seems to stiffen up the ride and flex quite a bit.

I'm not a super hardcore offroader, I just want something better than what I have now and I figured this would be a much better route then spacer's and shackles.
I probably go mudding 4 times a month so I don't need a super expensive lift and I'm on a tight budget, also I'm not to super mechanical savvy so the junkyard budget option may be a little difficult.

4 times a month is more than i get to and i have a **** ton of money dropped into my jeep. get something that will last. its a pain to have to fix things as you go.

they give you a really stiff ride, and they eventually flatten out faster than full leaf packs

and like i said, no to little flex.
i hated the way my xj flexed & drove w/AALs
at that point, do a 1" block and a 1" lift shackle. better ride and flex than AAL. and prob cheaper.

Well with the way my jeep rides now id be fine with little to no flex because I bottom out on even the littlest pot hole.

Some may knock it but i have the rocky road 3". $256 shipped to your door with the shock extensions (i didnt get those, i put JK shocks on mine. rides like a dream) theres no drooping, wheel hop, yadda yadda yadda. If you're setting up a trail rig i wouldnt recommend it but for the DD, occasionally light wheeling i would strongly recommend it for the money. + those shackles are BEEF. Never seen any that compare
