Boomerang shackles would stop that but I would try to find out if your drop downs are on right first. If you flipped them would they clear? or are they strait?

Wouldn't that be true only if you used the extra lift off road and forced the suspension to move the full range of it's new capabilities?
I'm saying, if you lifted the rig up 3 inches and never (or almost almost never) used the vehicle off road your springs and leafs would never know they could travel that much.
I'm thinking out loud here...I don't really know a darn thing. But my 97 will get an inexpensive lift because it will almost never go off road.
Canoe58 got a great look out of his '96 that way.

I hate to even say this and not saying you should do it but if you just want the look with no real $ get some blocks for the rear and pick up some pipe or round stock cut for front coil spacers from a weld shop (like $10). still not that I think that is a nice lift but nice coils and leafs cost $. So, what I would do is start with some coils and leafs (the right size & price for you) and mod from there. Come to find out I can put a custom long arm kit on a jeep for less than some cheap kit!

im just telling you what they did for me. This happend about this time last year and all i had to do was tell them that theyre bushings sucked and asked them if they could send me some. Just told them i wasnt happy and they sent the bushings to me for free. And they actually even sent me the standard rubber bushing and the harder poly urethane bushing. Or what ever they are made out of. Maybe they dont do it anymore?

besides the people that have nothing better to do than criticize my post due to my lack of knowledge on jeep lift kits, i would like to thank the people that have a life and tried to help. for those that are still reading this post, i am completely clueless as to what anything listed for a lift kit is. Bushings, long arm kit all of that i dont have any knowledge on. What is a good lift kit worth? Id like it more for looks than actually offroading, easy to install, etc. i dont do any extremist kind of offroading so im not looking for anything pro. Any kind of useful information or personal experience would help.
i got a lift kit with shocks for 300$ its a 3 inch lift rdy for the woods. 100$ for coil springs 20 for blocks in the back n 150 for shocks. but your driveshaft might vibrate n you might have to drop ur transfer case. thats my next project haha

Like a couple previous posters said, a cheap lift kit is just that. It'll ride like a tank and the coils and springs (or AAL) wont hold up long. Also keep in mind the cost of an alignment after you lift it. Does the $300 lift come with shocks, a way to relocate the track bar? Are you prepared to spend the $100 to drop the transfer case when you notice the funky vibes the new lift has created? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just pointing out that I think you need to do a little more reading here and other places on line and figure out a game plan for what your actually wanting to do. Buying the first budget lift you find, throwing it on and expecting a trouble free experience is a pipe dream. Do your homework, save up your dough and buy something decent.

You will be spending more then $300 thats for sure. If you stick to anything close to your $300 you will get a cheap kit that will ride rough. Springs will sag and bushing with be destroyed.
Since you say you have no knowledge I would suggest going to each companies website and compare lift kits to others. In the process you will gain knowledge!
