There wasn't much rust at all, which is really amazing considering how soaking wet all of the carpet and foam was when I ripped it out. Disgusting and smelly . Anyway, I just used my brother's angle grinder with a sanding belt and scuffed up the paint. Where there was rust I used a soft grinder wheel to knock of the loose stuff. I wasn't able to get any pictures before adding the seats, but I'll have some pictures up tomorrow of the liner with all trim replaced and the seats put back in.

yea I got small little holes in a few places, but two of them I found was from my rear drive shaft when it fell out of the TC when I hit the brakes super hard to avoid an idiot that pulled out in front of me(more on that some other time, but 4.5 inch lift needs a TC drop or your yoke will fall out of the the TC housing) so I'm going to clean that all up and patch it up in a few days and get those taken care of, but there was a lot of rust all over the place but none that went all the way through, so I ground it all down and hit is with some good rust killer. still hoping that works!

i thought about using a rust converter or something like that before i laid the herculiner but i think rust needs oxygen to generate or at least that sounds good... so i figured it would be fine... i dont really care bout my jeep that much... not if the floors rust anyway in the next 10 years... its always fixable if it gets to bad...

I do not have a carpet from the rear seats forward and i used herculiner on the floor. I still have the front to do. I also used it in the rear wheel wells. I have used this product before and it is amazing... AS LONG AS YOU PREP IT... do not have any type of oils or it will peal off sooner than it should... but it is amazing stuff
