Best battery
I've had poor luck with store brand batteries lime those at Wal-Mart or AutoZone. My best batteries are interstates and Napa's. If using for winter only, i"d pull tbe battery when not in use and store on wooden blocks off concrete floor. Trickle charger like a battery tender wouldnt hurt either.

I use battery maintainers religiously, and I haven't been able to tell much difference in performance from one brand to another. Any battery that won't be used for more than a week or so gets plugged in. Some of my batteries that are in the 8-10 year old range and they work and test like new ones.
With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with Interstate.

I ONLY use DieHard Gold. HOWEVER, if youre JUST using it as a plow truck and not running it during the summer, you need to take care of your battery or you will lose it. The heat kills batteries faster than the cold. Up here in Northern Maine, Ive gotten about 8-10 years out of my DieHard Gold batteries, and both were killed because of something I did to them.
