I was offroading the jeep and hit my stock bumper really good. it bent completely against the tire. and it bent the bumper bolt spot on the body in about an inch and a half. and the tab up front for the stock bumper. I need ideas on how to bend it back to build a new custom bumper. somehow the pictures sideways.

Yeah pretty simple, Get BFH, hit bent part with BFH until back in place. It'll bend back just about as easy as it did when you bent smacked the bumper. As for the caved in area your gonna need a pry bar and probably some heat from a torch. Heat the outer area until red hot and go through the hole on the front and message it back into place. Work the crease where it's shaped like a "V" . The number one rule to stuff like this is "Last in is the first part that needs to go back out".

guys there's a problem with that. it's only the outer part. the outer part bent in by that bolt hole is the problem and there's a part of the frame on the inside stopping me from simply beating the SH@# out of it...

It's not an easy spot to work out. I do own the perfect spoon bar that would push that back out real quick with a little heat. Ya' know if I was you I'd run it by a body shop and just see what they would charge you to pop it out. You have all the hardware off so you may luck out and get it done pretty cheap.

There fixed your picture for ya'........ Just for the heck of it check your hood gaps side to side and front to back. Make sure you didn't push the front clip over as well.

does it have to be perfect?
just give it a few love taps with the sledge just so you can fit a new bumper on there. hell, go with a nice heavy aftermarket bumper so you can hit the same tree and win.

haha thanks guys. yeah my buddy Fulton took a look at it he's a master welder/machinist and we're building a badass ARB bull bar style bumper for it. He figured it out basically exactly the same as the idea to heat it up and bend it out with the spoon bar. and we're just going to get it as close as we can. and then starting making a mock up bumper then go ahead and make the whole thing . I'm so excited! hahaa
