Angry belt tearing radiator lines

So I just replaced my Water pump and I just ran into a problem i have never had before. The serpentine belt has started cutting into my lower radiator hose. My question is has anyone ever replaced that line with a metal pipe to prevent this? I was thinking it would come in handy going off roading. If any one has done this or know of anyone who did this please let me know.

Wow that's an odd problem. Something is out of whack. You sure you have the correct hose?

I'll bet you could loosen the clamps on that lower radiator hose and rotate it to clear the belt.

I should probably add that my Cherokee is a RHD. The lower radiator hose is different from the LHD ones. Everything is still all original just my hose crosses underneath my power steering pump and comes about a inch or two from the lower section of my serpentine belt.

I'm about 96% sure it is routed correctly. I followed the diagram for RHD and have had any problems with the belt so
