Default Belt Squeal
Just changed the water pump on 96 Jeep Cherokee Country and can't seem to get belt tension correct - squeals upon start up, when a/c turned on, and sometimes at idle. Belt tension adjusted by moving idler pulley along slot and also by tension adjustment bolt for fine tuning. Any hints?

little bit of tire shine on the belt will get rid of it

That will only cause it to slip.
