Belt help!! please help

Default Belt help!! please help

Alright guys... i know this question has been beat alot.. but.. on my 97 cherokee.. i can not seem to figure out how to loosen the belt to replace it.. i loosened the top bolts on the steering pump loosened the tensioner.. and nothing...I just cant figure it out for the life of me.. only thing i accomplished was loosened up the power steering pump lol.. any help would be great! that darn belt is driving me nuts when its wet out.

there are two bolt on the back side of the power steering pump that you need to loosen

There is another bolt on the back of the power steering pump that needs to be loosened to allow the pump rotation. Let me look for a pic and i'll show you.

Yea there is 1-2 bolts on the back that are pain to get to.

I think last time i did it i had to Remove my Splash guard, and reach up under the motor to get at it.

how are you posting the part pics I have them on PDF but the file is always to big are you converting them to jpg.

thanks alot guys for the info.. i went out and checked it out. I see now what you guys are talking about.. im gonna tackle it tomorrow tho.. i gave up for the night. thanks again guys ill let you guys know tomorrow if i figure it out!

my tensioner bolt was a pain to get off, so i ended up using an open end wrench, a block of wood, and a hammer. replacing the belt is much easier with another set of hands though.
