and my lower bellhousing bolts seem too short? wtf is going on!?!?!
after i get that its the torque converter bolts and hook everything up ontop and im done with my swap.
i wanna hear this 4.7!!! HELP!!!
is there a trick to doing this?! can i just get rid of the pins?

ive done pleanty of trans on other vehicles but i cannot line up pins. i had to call it quits so i put the top ones in so it had some strength overnight.
torque converter never came out... pulled engine this mornin and started droppin new one in. maybe ill get everything up top done tomorrow and go under and put the trans in as if i were doing a trans swap. might be easier. doubt it lol

I'd make real sure the converter is all the way home, (like wiggles said) Allot of work pulling the T-Case and all...don't see that that would help anyway.
The front if the converter should be about an inch inside the bell-housing, maybe a little more. What a pisser! A night of sleep should help, good luck.

I had this issue on my MJ a couple months ago. Double check that the TC is seated and then you just have to have the engine/tranny in line and not binding. It should slide right on.
transmission is on the ground now... holy **** its heavy. my tc was all the way in. im going at it again when i can find a buddy to come help me.

when you say that the top bolts are in...do you mean actually tightened down? cause then it won't line up for sure.
and, just because the torque converter wasn't out doesn't mean it didn't unseat a bit when you pulled the motor.
if indeed upper bolts are tight, loosen them, completely, put a floor jack under the bell housing (assuming the engine is still in the hoist), and adjust until you can line it up.

already did all that. tc was in all the way. transmission is on the ground. just gotta get a few buddys to help lift it up and align it.
