Also picked up a couple of cans of Krylon Satin "Moss Musgo" (Close to army green) Outdoor spaces paint. It's supposed to be fade and weather proof.... I think i'm going to spray the entire truck with the bedliner and then topcoat the rockers, bumpers, and flares with satin black and the top with the satin green Now I just got to wait for it to warm up enough to spray.

I'm giving the sample board an hour or so to dry and then taping off a line and top coating half of it with the green... I'll post a pic a little later showing the results and I'll try to get a good shot showing the texture as well.

Krylon moss green... I love that color Looking forward to seeing pics.

Ha... I thought about doing that with mine, but a buddy used that paint scheme on his lifted Safari van and I didn't want to copy. Looks good.

Interior pieces bedlined....

Any my bumper with this stuff on it. Been on since last spring. Only problem i've had is that the metal feet on my sisters couch scratched the texture off when I was helping her move. I can't complain, the metal feet were directly on the bumper holding up the couch... I wouldn't expect anything in a rattlecan to withstand that without any damage.

Thanks. It's only been on for about a week. I just went wheeling and stopped by the spray'n'wash to get rid of the mud. I touched a few places to close with the pressure washer and some chipped off. I think it was my fault. I was tryin' to blast off this mud ball and just got too close.

The bed liner stuff kicked ***. Couldn't phase it no matter how close I got with the wand. I'll just hit the 2 or so spots with some left over green cans I have.

I'm currently working on swapping/painting all of my interior pieces to black and grey. The duplicolor vinyl dye stuff is great and really durable. All of the parts that I don't want textured will be painted with that stuff. The vinyl dye is harder to use than spray paint, and a lot harder to use than the truck bed liner. The dye is very thin, takes multiple coats (More than paint), dries slow, and gets runs easily. It does hold up well though.. just not that easy to use.

I want to use the bed liner to paint the interior ceiling in my Jeep since I removed my headliner... but that involves stripping the entire interior and masking off EVERYTHING. .....Summer project......

thats one of the first things i did to mine after i bought it. i did a base coat with the roll on, then a second coat with the spray to even everything out and give it a nice even texture. although i just swung the *** end of my jeep into a tree playing in my backyard so i gotta touch that up.

In my personal experiences, it's pretty difficult to find a late model Cherokee with a black interior, but maybe it's different where you live. That's why I chose to paint mine rather than buying them. Painting is also cheaper and easy to repair if it scratches. Good luck to you =)

Tan interiors suck to keep clean... especially if you're often full of grease from working on vehicles. I've scrubs my center console lid dozens of times to make it tan again, but it continues to turn a brown/black/tan camo kinda scheme from the constant grease, mud, and general dirt. Personally, it doesn't bother me... I know it's just a couple grease stains. My Jeep is a fun vehicle, but it's also built to do work. It transports me and my belongings where they need to go, and gives me some enjoyment while doing so. It's not a show car, but the grease stained interior looks bad to all who enter the Jeep.

sorry to hijack the thread, but if you want a smoother feel i recommend buying the rustoleum roll on liner and spraying it through an undercoating gun. thats what i did to my current interior and it dryed with a smooth texture.

Okay one or two quick pics.... ( I'll have more in the build thread I'm starting this evening )

Sorry for the quality...My digital camera just quit so I'm using my phone for these.

Okay, 1st pic is of the sample board. It was all sprayed with the bedliner but the area to the right I lightly sanded before top coating both areas with the satin green. It sanded really well knocking off some of the texture and leaving a nice hammered look. The left side is satin sprayed over the liner without sanding it...

Here's just a quick shot of it against the truck to give an idea...

I like it and plan to get started on the truck in the next few days
