Default Bedlined interior

Is this a bad idea? ...Thinking of tearing the carpet and headliner out. I know it involves a lot of prep work with sanding etc. in order to make sure the surface is prepared properly for the bedliner, but what about noise, cabin temp., and durability? Has anyone done this?

yeah just sand down real good, and yes it is a tad bit louder, and yes it does goe a litte warmer/colder whichever season it is, and durability....depends on how good you prep and which brand you use and how well you do it......i used herculiner and have not been dissapionted at all, over a year

I did this with an Amigo I just got rid of, prep was mainly just making sure the surface was clean and scuffed with a scotchbrite pad. I had no rust to deal with so it was a pretty easy procedure. Made things a little more noisy, but it was nice to just be able to rinse the interior out with a hose and go. I used the gray herculiner for the final coat since I never put the top on and wanted to minimize heat from the southern sun.

If it's a dedicated mudder/offroad vehicle it is nice, daily driver it's okay if you don't mind the noise.

Results may vary!
