No problem. Most things I would say tackle yourself, but there are some things I leave to the pros with the specialized tooling to do the job properly.

So the local guy would do the whole job for $300 labor, $20 for R134 + parts. I can't get the compressor I mentioned in a timely fashion. So the local guy is getting $265 for a new compressor.

If I am getting charged $150 to have the system evacuated and recharged, for another $170 I am just going to let him do the job.
