Default BDS suspension

Hi! I just got my first cherokee and was looking to put a 4.5'' lift kit on it. I would prefer something like the RE lift but to get it to hawaii is too much $ so I was looking at a BDS long arm kit and was wondering if its a good kit or not. I want to do offroading but it is also my daily driver so I dont want it too stiff. Any ideas on a diffrent kit would also be appreciated. Thanks!

Is it me or is the BDS stuff extremely expensive? I went through, picked my make, year, model and saw the prices of each lift.

http://www.bds-suspension.com/php/ProductSelect.php

1,000 dollars for a 3" full pack?

1,700 for a 4.5" short arm...

Is BDS just that good off quality or do they just sell stuff at ridiculously high costs? I'm pretty sure RE is less than this.

Edit: I just figured out you can customize the kits at the end, how ignorant of me... But still, you will need the stuff that can be chosen to be taken out.

lifetime waranty on everything they sell including springs. they honor it too. I have had awesome luck with springs and shocks but I snapped my track bar. When I brought it in they said "ahhh, yea we fixed that" then gave me a newer design for free no questions asked. If you don't live near a dealer though its a pain cause you have to play the shipping game and have downtime on your rig while you wait for parts.

I couldn't be happier with the kit I have. I have the 3" full pack kit. I can only compare it to one other xj with a 3 inch and it was a rustys, the bds rides better but is also twice the cost.

A friend of mine has the 4.5" LA kit, very good quality and great ride. Stout xmember for the LA brackets too.
