Battery question...
My XJ needs a battery.. I have an old battery that still works..its a little big but i think it will fit in the battery ttray still..if it works is this okay?

Electrically it will work just fine. If it is physically bigger, though, check for proper hood clearance. It would make an ugly dent if it's too big for the hood to close.
yeah....I could... It doesn't look very good right now though... I wasn't really gonna post pics until i get it painted though...It was supposed to go to my painter a few days ago but hes taking a bit longer on a car hes doing now.. soo... It is red now and the paint is faded on one side and the hood is faded..if you wanna see a sh**ty red XJ sure =)

Heck, yes I do!! It might be a sh itty looking red XJ but is your s hitty looking red XJ. I had my XJ laying on it's saide a couple of weekends ago. It has lots of dents but, I think it's still awesome!!

If that old battery that has been sitting around for a period of time with out having a charger keep the battery charged, you may want to have it checked with a battery load tester. The battery could go bad due to very cold temperature and very low charge. A battery will still discharge and drop from 12V to 0 if not charged through the winter months or longer. A battery that is bad internally will still register 12V at the terminals, but will not accept the charge from your alternator and will go dead in a few days. Save yourself some hassle and check it before replacing your old one.
