Battery Issue

Battery Issue
The short of it: dead battery on Monday. New battery installed, fired right up. Wednesday new battery dead, dead, dead. No idea if it's wiring or alternator but now new battery won't take a charge. Old battery charging now. Question: bad new battery or could whatever is wrong with the Jeep have fried the new battery?

a bad alternator will destroy a new battery.
i would have your alternator tested. take it in to autozone, it needs a load test.
and return your battery. just don't take your alternator to the same place to have it tested as they may not replace it if your alternator is toast.

Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims
a bad alternator will destroy a new battery.
i would have your alternator tested. take it in to autozone, it needs a load test.
