Your alt is going bad. Could be a bad battery but I am sure the alt is going bad. Mine did the exact same thing two months ago. Take it to a parts store and have them both tested. I ended up replacing both for good measure.

sounds like the alternator bro. It's overcharging, it's also very bad for the battery too!

Yeah the alternator is bad, if it happen again try to turn everything possible so you use as much electricity as possible and you don't overcharge the battery that much

Take the alternator to so shop to test but most likely u will need to change it ...

Good luck

If you pull it out. I dont know if they will check it while it is still in your car. Go to autozone or advanced auto instead. They can check the entire starting system.

I'm not sure its the ALT itself since the voltage regulator isn't in the ALT, its actually in the PCM.

Pepboys does it for 15$. Autozone for free. Mine went bad but autozones thing said it was ok, pepboys' is much more
Accurate. HOWEVER! they put 2 3.5 oz weights on the insides of each of my front tires to fk with me after I told them I would rather do it myself then pay them. I assure you I will not be returning to that store.

And you are wrong. It is NOT in the alternator.

Do you guys read?

Again, no, the regulator is NOT in the alternator. Its actually in the PCM, also known as the ECU.
