Default bastard pack?

so i kno this has been posted on here before but im still curious what i should do. i kno im gettin spacers from howler, but as far as the rear goes, ive read with the s10 top spring that will give me around three inches. i got a 93 is that one spring gonna give me right at 3 or is it gonna settle to 2? im lookin to go closer to 2 so i dont have to get new shocks right away.

From what I've read in the BB threads, bastard pack lift height can vary due to the condition of the XJ springs and the donor springs....which apparently gives the best results if you have the capability of tearing it down and re-doing it if you guessed wrong.

I'm trying to determine the "recipe" for 3" in the back...my XJ main leaf is FLAT, and I have almost BRAND NEW S-10 springs to use as donors. I'm considering getting some better XJ mains as a baseline, which will allow me to build the packs off the rig, but not looking forward to swapping complete packs...
Hope this helps...
Good luck!
