Default Bar pin RSB Bracket, helps!

Okay guys, I eliminated my RSB in a pinch when I was doing my rear shocks and needed a BPE on the fly. However! I hate how the rear end wobbles now, so I'm looking to get my RSB back in before the snow hits.

I found:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...013&cc=1363384

Which comes with the bushings(+1) however, the plates shown in the picture don't look quite right. I remember the OEM mounts being more of a "block" rather than a thin piece of metal.

Can anyone comment on this? The rear end swaying makes me feel unsafe and I know nothing bad could really ever come from it but I just put a lot of money into the suspension and this is unacceptable!

Thanks!!

I've had my RSB off for yrs (front is used with quick disconnects) and have never had the issue you describe. Sure you don't have some other problem?

It's possible! Definitely new to jeeps and 4wd.

Anything you could think of to check?

I'll note that all bushings are new and everything is tight.

Could be many things. From weak springs, bad shocks, bad shackles, bad hardware to where these bolt up to the under side(rusted/weak mounting areas) . What your describing seems extreme for just running without the RSB. Both my XJ and the wife's Blazer have them removed and she's never had any concerns with either.

Did you replace the shocks with the exact same that were in it? You could be feeling the difference between the different brands and quality of the shocks themselves.

Although I can't speak for everyone who has eliminated their RSB I can't remember anyone mentioning it causing a problem. In fact they say they can't tell that it's gone except for having more articulation. Now the FSB......................!

You use the word "wobble" to describe the problem. Such as?

For instance, if I were to go over a speed bump (mall crawler) when come down off it I can feel the rear sway side to side. Like a rocking motion.

This happened on my blue jeep for 2 reasons. The Leaf and Shackle Bushings were completely shot and the frame was paper thin and would slightly twist under pressure. That thing was rotted beyond no return tho there were no floor front to back just plywood and ratchet straps holding the gas tank in place. Poke around make sure the floors and frame is solid in the rear.
