Is it a 2000 or 2001 with precats? This is what you will have.

You still running cheap injectors?

What do the plugs (4,5,6) look like?

Cummins says hi.

Yes, I bought the cheap eBay four hole injectors, been having problems ever since. But recently I have been getting the p0175 code with the rich bank 2 fault.

So would the rear cat be considered Bank 2?

Yeah so pull the plugs and see how they look. I would also pull the injectors and test the gates with a 12V source (I use an old desktop power pack cause it's easier to lug around than a battery) and see if maybe a few flakes of something fell in there during install and is sticking a gate open or clogging up the orifices.

I mean, a fuel injector is a door and a hole. I'm really not getting how these guys pull fuel injectors out of Volvos, Fords, Duesenbergs, Stanley Steamers, etc. and all of a sudden their 4.0 XJ is running like a Hellcat and getting 70 MPG.

Bank 2 refers to cyl 4,5,6. Bank 2 sensor 1 is the pre cat sensor for 4,5,6. Bank 2 sensor 2 is the post cat sensor. I have had stock injectors rebuilt, bought 4 hole, 12 hole, 4 hole 36lbs and 4hole 42lbs injectors from sellers on Ebay. They have all performed as expected. Stable AFRs during cruise with good fuel trims. Correct enrichment with open loop. Warm up open loop has been correct even with the scaled back 36lbs.

I typically stay with the same sellers. If I ask for IRT across the voltage range and they cant provide them I wont buy.

Swap inj 1,2,3 with 4,5,6. See of the code changes to bank 1 sensor 1.

Also, why do I say hi?

Yes I just did the same thing 2 years ago. The ebay injectors have to go. Not because they are 4 hole, The chineese ones tend to oversell a wide group of applications and the flow rates are actually incorrect for your engine. On top of that they are not uniform in their performance. If you look at the LTFT and STFT for that bank you will see a big spread. Should be 0. Switch them back and immediately you will see those numbers go back towards 0 and within a few days be pretty close to what they should be.
