Doing the ball joints in my 95 Cherokee. Took out the originals and they were non knurled. The ones I bought were rough country heavy duty ball joints and thwy have knurling. Should I get a different brand. What is a brand that has a greaseable lower I would like to be able to grease them both
Personally, I would return them and get stock bore / smooth ball joints.
Once you put knurled in, you can't go back.
if you don't need them, Don't use them.

In my opinion, before returning the items, you should measure the OD with a vernier caliper
For several reasons, but I had to replace a ball joint with one that was .005" OS, evidently the knuckle that receives it can become worn
Bear in mind that I believe the balljoint is an interference fit, meaning it should be ~.003 to .005" wider than the hole
You can measure the knuckle hole ID and compare measurements
Do it very carefully.
If the thing is the correct size, I would fit it
