any idea how hard these are i recently had shoulder surgery.. is it a one hand job possible?

you want to hands and some body weight if they are the factory ones

Sorry man, this is an exhausting procedure even with an impact. Especially if this is the first time, or its been a long time, since it's received new ball joints. a trick I figured out is to "load" up the ball joint press but instead of using the clamp to break loose the initial hold, drop a 3lb sledge on it. It won't take much with that clamp pushing on it. I find that to be a bit more predictable. Sucks about the shoulder, good luck with it.
