Ball Joints
Ok, I replaced upper and lower ball joints on driver side axle. Ended up doing an axle swap after finding more problems. The same ball joints are worn on the newer axle. Question is can I reuse the previously installed ball joints or will they be damaged pressing them out of the other axle ? The ball joints have very little mileage on them and I don't want to pitch them if I can reuse them. Thx for any input.

Did you swap in the same axle? It's all going to depend on how cleanly you can get em out. It's impossible to say yes or no because it'll depend on how well you get em out. But it's definitely possible to damage them on their way out

the shop i work at would never allow it ( suspension and alignment shop in ca )
but thats not to say you cant do it..
just need the perfect size dies to press it out
imo dont risk it just get new ones.
then you can sell the old axle with " semi new ball joints " as opposed to no ball joints.
