crappy weather and no garage/shop to work in at home. so tech at local shop replaced ball joints a while back. now i noticed no grease fittings/zerks. buy zerks and find holes stripped. zerks are under axle ujoint and no room to do much without removing axle. any1 else been there, done that???

Are you sure they are supposed to have fittings or are they sealed joints? How long ago is "a while back"? Will the shop do something as a warranty type of thing?

Lowers on mine (original) had no fittings or holes for fittings. Replacements either come pre-lubed or with zerk fittings. The right way to install a lower that has a fitting is to screw in the fitting and lube the joint before installation. Then remove the fitting and plug the hole with a small plug or a smear of JB Weld. I wonder if someone makes a lower ball joint with a tapped hole on the side?
