Bad MPG in 99 xj
I was reading this whole thread and was just wondering if 4.0 ever figured out his mpg problem, i get about 13 mpg right now so ima test my sensors and see if i can fix my problem, had 235/75/r15 and now got 31x10.5x15, also got the whole outside herculined and safari rack, same mpg before and after so the tires arent killing it but ill see what happens.
The suggestion above that this may just be a problem you're having with winter gas is a good one. When did your poor mileage start? To compare, my 95 XJ with no rack, no lift and no extra goodies except for some old Kumho mud tires, gives me about 16mpg consistently.
A clogged cat can also affect mileage. Amazon, believe it or not, sells high-flow cats for pretty cheap if yours is clogged/damaged.
Yeah, new thread that says "I get bad gas mileage in my XJ" would work wonders. The causes of bad gas mileage usual never change.

What happened here is you stuck your nose in on a thread you weren't interested except to ridicule somebody for reviving a "dead thread". Then you proceed to making rude remarks to people you don't know and wrap up calling people you don't know "********". This you would not do if we were talking face-to-face - and neither would I. Most people find it easier to be polite in the real world.
My suggestion to you is if you don't like or don't care about a thread, ignore it...and keep the hard-*** comments to yourself. Nothing I said to you warranted that response.

I've already said what I did and why I said what I said, if you can't accept that its really not my problem. Frankly I don't give two ****s what you say or think about me. The people on this forum know that I'm one of the more helpful people on here and unless you're rude to me I'm generally quite polite and pleasant. However, when people are rude to me or start acting like idiots I'll be the first person to say something about it. As a result there's a few people who don't like me.
Also, I don't care what your "suggestions" are, I've been around long enough to figure this stuff out on my own. However if you're going to accuse me of anything, get the facts straight first so you don't look like a retard.
Thats All I've got to say, I'm done with all this
nonsense. If you want PM me go ahead, otherwise don't expect me to reply to anything you say in this thread unless its relevant to the original topic.

Time to move on. I think this thread has ran it's course. One thing that gets under my skin is people who post just to stir the pot. So move on or take it to PM's.
