Question Bad lift perhaps?

The other day I was looking @ some pics of my xj and i noticed that after my lift (just 2 in.), it seems that my rear end wasn't raised as high as the front. I didnt install it myself, but what could this be oh, and would a flowmaster really improve my fuel economy? Gas aint exactly goin down....

What lift kit did you use? I did a 2" lift with a rear shackle and front spacer and mine sits pretty even..

Don't be fooled by the cherokee's design. The rear fender is lower than the front and it makes it appear to be lower back there but it's actually even. Follow the roof line.

What kind of lift?

As mudd says the XJs body lines throw your perspective off. Put a level on the rain rail or the rockers. That will give a better, more accurate account of being out of level.

Stock height from center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender is 17.5 front and 17 rear. Measure your jeep with your lift and see where it measures too.

If you do shoose to use Bluexj's level idea, make sure to check the ground first to see how level that is first.

Good point. We only have flat land here so that never entered my mind. Thanks big*blue

Exhaust might a little bit but your best bet would be a higher flow air filtration system. check out the one from rusty's offroad. Just as good as AEM, aFE, or K&N but it costs about $50 instead of $250-300. Also a good way to get better milage is a Fitch Fuel Catalyst. I don't have one but a friend of mine has one in his truck and his V8 truck gets as good of milage as my XJ.

Good one or if you can't afford a heavier front bumper then bolt some scrap tractor weights to the present bumper. Howler you are a smart guy!!

where in minnesota are ya? im 15 minutes south of minny.

as for evening out the lift, if it is sagging, a shackle lift is cheap and easy (depending on how stuck your bolts are)

You guys know your stuff! But if I get a different front bumper should I get a winch too? I really dont even know what those are for (told ya'll i was a noob) I was going to get a new rear bumper so I could get one of those things that let me put my spare there. Would that defeat the purpose of putting more weight in tha front? Never mind....I see you were joking....
