New to the 4wd xj world...have had a 2wd the last 5 years.
These are the sounds of a bad ujoint, right?
Just making sure before I spend money on some new ones.
I need to know what brand is the best/cheapest (lol) to replace them with. Does greasable/non-greasable really matter?

I don't think thats a U-joint, I could be wrong tho..
Sounds to me like your flywheel might be hitting the Inspection plate or the inspection plate is loose.. I think if you go Under the jeep Not running ofcourse and try to twist the front drive shaft back n fourth and see how much play is there and if you hear that noise.. Wait and see what others have to say first...
Just a thought..

Damn,
Just watch video again,
Sounds like it Might be a bad bearing , Or something is loose under there..
I would do some poking around under there and see if something is loose to..

The left hub was replaced a month ago with a timken but that click noise started a couple days ago.
I checked the play on ujoints and both sides have the slightest bit play, only making a light click. If you turn the rotor the shaft moves immediately.
The noise definitely seems to be coming from the front left somewhere. It only happens a low speed.
I doubt it is the inspection plate, I swapped a motor into this cherokee and it went back on correctly with every bolt tight. I will check it though.
It is getting dark so I am done for tonight.
