Hi guys,
as of yesterday I've got this issue with my 99. At low speeds or under acceleration from stop I have this "pinging" or "tinking" noise coming from under the jeep. It sounds kinda similar to the sound the rear drum brake self adjusters, just repeatedly pinging. Its more of a ping, ping, ping while just rolling, but around like 20-25 it turns to like a squeak/squeal with some pinging mixed in. This noise goes away after about 30mph but then, from 30-50 I have this wicked driveline vibe that intensifies with a harder acceleration. i had some minor vibes at 30-40 when i did my BB a month ago but a 3/4" tcase drop took care of them completely. This vibe is also worse than the vibes i had before. I'm gonna be screwing with it this weekend but for now I wanted to hear what some people had to say.
Just taking a quick look before I left for class I snapped a pic of what might be out of the ordinary I don't know? I'll attach the pic but it's a real bad pic, just tried to grab one on my way out the door.
Also as maybe a possibly culprit I got stuck in a puddle Friday night which i hit some ruts underwater and was stopped about bumper deep for ~5mins. I'm sure it has something to do with it.... :brickwall
Thanx for any help

I'm looking at where the driveshaft meets the u joint, to me it seems like the shaft is separating from the joint? Or is this normal?

From what it looks like in the pic, thats what the front driveshaft normally looks like ....from what you're discribing , it sounds like you have a bad u joint in the rear drive shaft. Do you have any kind of lift and how much?
