bad day
so went to start the jeep this morning and it was a pretty rough start and the check engine light came on. so i cleaned out the throttle body and then it would start fine, but i would rev it up and let off the throttle and it would die.
when i got moving (auto trans) it would not shift out of 1st until it got to 4k rpm, and then i couldnt even get it out of 2nd ( i didnt get to 4k rpm in 2nd cus i didnt need to go very fast). so when i get out of school i take it to a shop i know and get them to run the code, and they send me to a tranny shop (im like son of a b!tch). i get there and they run the code again and mention something about a torque converter somethin or other. so it's still at the tranny shop gettin looked at, they havent called me yet.
anyone got any ideas? and what this could end up costing me roughly ( i dont work on my own tranny, too much for me to handle)

? if so did you hook everything back up right or touc anything out of place? tp is what im guessing but i could be very wrong. some one will chime in and give some advice.

Check the fuel pump - i had a similar issue and i figured it was the tranny but brought it to a friend and he said fuel pump. replaced the rubber hose connecting the fuel pump to the fuel pump mounting plate and it worked great after that. Have the shop check the fuel pressure - mine was low

showed a certain tranny code, that's why the 1st shop i went to automatically sent me to the transmission shop. then the owner of the tranny shop ran the code with his more specific scanner and explained it to me but i just cant remember what he said
