I think this is what its called, its the rubber seal for the cowl and the hood. I know its not supposed to be watertight, but should prevent some water from waterfalling down the firewall....

Is it possible for this seal to go bad?

Looking for water leaks and it seems that every damn thing on the firewall will seep water (blower motor - siliconed the hell out of that, steering shaft seal, fuse panel seal, etc...)

Any thoughts? I googled it and did not seem to be a very popular item. Dont know if replacing would be worth it or not. Maybe I just have a leaker!
