i was driving around 40mph when it almost dies for a min the odometer when up and down many warning lights came on, then it was running fine, then when i got to a stop sign the lights went off, the batt gauge went almost all the way down and then up.. my guess is the alternator.. what you guys think?

yes all that power draining from the battery and alt killed it if you gonna have a big system look into xs power battery. they are pricey but worth every penny. i have a 2500 watt amp for my 15" and about to look into a 4 channel amp. i have a stock 90 amp alt and a xs power D3400 and my voltage is fin doesnt go under 13.4 power my 2500 watt competition amp.

xs power battery or alternator. mechmen alt, excessive amperage, stinger, ohio generator, mike singer.

Once I figure it out what the problem is I'm a get a bigger battery too. Cuz I plan on adding more system to it.

I'm really having a hard time guys.
Now that I went to start up the truck, I turned the key to start and it was dead.
I keep trying. I stepped on the brake and it start. What the hell does that mean? Electrical problem?
The battery gauge is going up and down. Once it's running.

Anyone?

If 'nothing' happens when you turn the key, it could be a dirty NSS. Stepping on the brake shouldn't have anything to do with starting it up. Wiggling the shifter or starting in neutral might help to indicate the NSS. When they're dirty it interupts the power to the starter and may prevent your reverse lights working. Of course, it could just be your underpowered electrical system, but if it's the NSS look here. Hope this helps.

Far as your system goes why dont you try to do a bit of homework and look at how they power a large system, cause they sure don't do it with a factory system or one battery

Thanks for the link! But I don't think that's the problem.
Today the jeep just died on me.
I tried to start it with Jumper cables. Seems that it wants to start. But it doesn't. I left the cables there for a while and still didn't Start.
So I went to check the battery at autozone and the the battery is fine. 80% charged.
But why is the jeep dead even with a good battery?

Electrical issue or alternator?

Thanks for reading & helping !

not yet, but if the alternator is not messing all the time, by the time i go to the autoparts to test it it will probably come up good, i let jeep run and disconnected the battery and the motors kept running fine, i was told it could be the voltage regulator, wich it goes inside the alternator, i also did some reaserch and some people had issues with voltage problems, the fix was to replace the pcm

Check all your battery cables and grounds, they tend to corrode on the inside of the sheating, for the price replace all with larger cables and if you can with new brass battery ends. My 00 would start at times and not start other times, I think this might be a very good possibility of what is happening to you, either way it's cheap enough to do.

Thanks for the help! I'm about to check all the wires on the engine bay.
The alternator and battery passed the test. So my other guess will be the PCM!
