BACK SPACING
I have a 94 XJ with a 3.5 RE super ride kit. I'm useing the stock wheels with 31x10.5x15 tires. Does any one know the stock back space on these wheels and do I need to go up or down in number to give me more space between the lower control arms and tires. They rub a little when turned hard left or right. Thanks

there are many posts on backspacing here, the lower the number, the further the tire will stick out.
stock wheels are anywhere between 5 and 5.5 inch back spacing. you want about 3.75 to 4 inches.

3.75 is a little much for 31 10.5s in my opinion. i run that on my 33 12.50s and they stick out like crazy. unless he plans on going to 33s in the future i would advise more around 4.00. just my 2 cents.
alittle much.. its a diff of a 1/4 inch.. not gunna be a deal breaker in any way.. with a 1/4 " its goin to come down to the tire width more so then then rim backspacing in my opinion
