back door wont open

Default back door wont open

my drivers side rear door wont open i fixed the handle and it opend and closed great then i locked it and know it wont open how do i open it i took the panel off all ready but cant unlock it help please

With the panel off you should be able to unlock it quite easily. There are 2 long metal rods running horizontally through the door, the top one goes to the lock and the bottom one goes to the handle. You just have to grab the top one and push it back toward the latch to unlock the door.

spray everything inside the door with pb blaster and let it sit for a few and then start working the rods back and forth. then spray again and repeat. You will want to get it on anything related to the door handle and locks.

I just went thru this last week
